1603 AutoSpikes

Product Information

The DoorKing 1603 AutoSpikes is a modular traffic control system that integrates a barrier gate operator with automated surface-mounted traffic spikes. Designed for applications requiring enhanced security and traffic management, such as parking lots, rental car agencies, schools, car dealerships, and government facilities, the 1603 system offers a higher degree of vehicle access control. The spikes are mechanically linked to the barrier arm, ensuring synchronized operation. The surface-mounted design allows for easy installation without the need for trenching or excavation. However, it’s important to note that installation and use in areas subject to freezing weather with potential snow and ice accumulation is not recommended, as the units can freeze in the up position, potentially causing unintended damage or injury due to the inability for the spikes to retract

Core Advantages

Enhanced Security Through Mechanical Integration:

The mechanical linkage between the barrier arm and traffic spikes ensures that unauthorized vehicles cannot bypass the barrier without encountering the raised spikes, providing a higher level of security.

Simplified Installation:

The surface-mounted design of the spikes allows for quick and easy installation without the need for trenching, reducing installation time and costs.

Reliable Operation in Power Outages:

Equipped with a fail-secure mechanical release and hand crank, the system allows for manual lowering of the spikes during power outages, ensuring continued security and access control.
