Patriot Perimeter Security

For over sixty years, we have been in the perimeter security business. In the beginning, perimeter security was chain link fencing, razor wire and manned security gates. Thinking back to the late 60’s Hollywood prison blockbusters with likes of Elvis Presley; prison guards walking the perimeter and standing lockout in guard towers provided good entertainment.

Over the years, all of this has been replaced with automated, high tech, self-monitored security systems. Today’s valuable security assets are protected by microwaves, shaker wires and motion alerted cameras. There are no guards or spicy German Shepards on patrol. Even the fencing has evolved to welded wire non-climable and cut resistant materials. We even have anti-ballistic and crash proof systems stopping large trucks traveling at high speeds.

It is unfathomable how much has changed in the field of perimeter security systems. Over the years, we too realized we must evolve with the industry demands or become irrelevant like those pacing guards. We watched the perimeter security industry grow from simple fencing and barbed tape to a mutli-trade profession that required depth of experience, certifications and proven track records of performance.

In the beginning, we were a simple but very large fence company. One of the top ten largest fence contractors in the United States with multiple military and correctional projects under our belt. As time passed, we realized this was simply not enough.

Our first order of business was to partner with cutting edge high security manufacturers. We quickly became dealers, distributors and high volume users for HySecurity, Ameristar, Delta Scientific, B&B Armor, etc. We sought certifications as installers and partnerships as distributors for these leading edge perimeter security manufacturers.

Pressing the paddle to the floor, we created a new entity focused exclusively on the access control industry. American Access Company. This entity was established to stay focused on and provide expertise exclusively for the access control industry. It consists of over twenty American Fence Association certified access control technicians. These techs also carry several major access control manufacturer certificates for installation, programming and servicing. Every week, month and quarter, we are conducting on-going training in the latest access control equipment, staying ahead of the curve.

As perimeter security projects evolved beyond sophisticated access control systems, we too recognized we must add more tools to our belt. We developed programming and education on the wide range of trades now associated with perimeter security systems. Footing and foundations, electrical, low voltage, structural steel, paving, plumbing and mechanical. We now have several individuals within our perimeter security division that are subject matter experts in these trades who provide critical expertise in planning and execution.

Perimeter security projects continued to grow in scope and demand particularly over the last decade. Stakeholders, architects and general contractors witnessed this evolution and began looking for solutions to capture the breadth of this growing industry. It no longer made sense to splinter this work out to several contractors as the integration was complicated and significant. General contractors wanted single source subject matter experts. Hence, the evolution of a new construction trade, Security Integrators. Today’s security integrators rein-in all the active and passive perimeter security equipment from cable crash barriers to ballistic proof guard shacks.

We too witnessed this transformation. Thus, creating Patriot Perimeter Security. A separate legal entity supported by one of the nation’s now top five largest fence contractors, manufacturers, material providers of security products. Patriot Perimeter Security is a network of dedicated designers, estimators, project managers and installers of high security equipment. We are a team of professionals dedicated to focusing exclusively on a small number of high security projects that have a real impact to national security.

Our pedigree is unmatched. Our team is the largest in the industry. Our capacity for construction, bonding and purchasing is significant. We did not enter this industry. We are the industry and what it represents.
